Howard & Howard Holdings
Howard & Howard Holdings takes its name from both of its principals. When Kim and Hal married, she became a Howard. The firm became the expression of what two people — and four decades of combined experience — could build together.

Co-Founder & Principal
Hal Howard didn't start in boardrooms. He started in dealerships — learning what it means to earn trust in an industry where most customers arrive skeptical and most salespeople prove them right. He earned his degree in engineering and business from North Carolina State University, added a Master's in Manufacturing Management from Kettering University, and went to work building things.
By 2000, he owned Goldsboro Chrysler Dodge Jeep — a dealership he didn't just manage but transformed. Sales grew 400%. The community programs he built touched tens of thousands of lives in Wayne County. Chrysler recognized the results. So did the people who worked for him. That was always the measure that mattered most.
In 2009, he founded Howard & Howard Holdings. By then, he had run dealerships, raised capital across manufacturing and financial sectors, structured acquisitions, and learned — the hard way and the right way — what separates a deal worth doing from one that looks good on paper.
"Calm on the surface, deep in strategy, always navigating toward the next horizon."
— Hal Howard
The yachting world came naturally. Hal has spent thirty years at Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, and Miami yacht shows — not as a spectator but as a broker, a buyer's advocate, and a student of the market. He holds active membership in the International Superyacht Society and the International Yacht Brokers Association and is a licensed broker with United Yacht Sales. To Hal, the water isn't a metaphor. It's where he works.
His capital formation work spans land development, automotive franchise acquisition, and transportation — including a $200M+ infrastructure raise for Crab Cay International Real Estate and a $75M fixed income placement as Chief Revenue Officer of NCM Capital. These aren't legacy credentials. They're the context for how he evaluates the next deal.
Kim Lewis Howard
Co-Founder & Principal
Kim Lewis Howard is the strategic and communications architect of the firm. Where Hal operates in markets that move through relationships and presence, Kim builds the frameworks and platforms that extend that reach — to entrepreneurs, operators, and the next generation of business owners navigating an economy that is changing faster than most advisors are equipped to explain.
As co-creator of the Entrepreneurs Redefined platform and host of the Small Business Big AI podcast, Kim brings the consulting and AI integration practice of Howard & Howard Holdings to the business owners who need it most — the ones running real companies in real markets, without the luxury of getting it wrong.
Her voice is calm, direct, and earned. Not borrowed from a framework. Built from operating inside one.
The Operator's Code
Integrity Above All
Reputation compounds faster than capital. Every engagement — regardless of size or structure — is governed by the same standard.
Execution First
Results precede discussion. The value of counsel is measured in what gets done — not what gets debated.
Strategic Presence
Hal places himself in the rooms where capital and decisions converge — not to impress, but to connect, learn, and lead. Proximity to the right people is a discipline.
Leave the Ladder Down
Every success must generate opportunity for others. When the firm rises, the people inside it rise. Greatness compounds through generosity.
Win Clean
A victory without honor is a loss with interest. The standard applies in every market, every transaction, every relationship.
Think Multi-Generationally
Every strategy must extend beyond the present. The mission isn't the next deal — it's the framework that outlives the founder.
The Eternal Message
"Excellence is the only inheritance worth leaving."
— Hal Howard
